Susan Alayne Lassila was born on August 17, 1966, to Dorothy and Arthur "Art" Lassila ('52).

She graduated from Richland's Columbia High School in 1984. She then attended and graduated from Central Washington University.

Susan married Paul C. Dow in Kent, WA on September 21, 1991. At this time she was employed by Boeing Computer Services.

Paul and Susan were divorced on February 6, 1998.

Susan passed away on July 9, 2021. Her memorial service and cremation took place in Covington, WA.
