Bethany Rose Guzek was born on May 25, 1966, in Pittsburg, PA, to John Charles Guzek and Betty Jane Nyland Guzek. She passed away on August 3, 2014, at the age of 48 at Hospice Chaplaincy in Kennewick.

She graduated with the Class of 1984 from Richland High School and had lived in the Tri-City area since 1971.

Beth married Darrin Whittlesey on October 28, 1989.

She was a homemaker.

Her siblings are Ed Guzek (Sharon) of Pittsburg, PA; Steven Guzek of Richland; Andy Guzek ('81) of Richland; Susan Guzek of West Richland; Patty Guzek Cecil (Richard) of Richland and Linda Guzek Houdasheldt (John) of Knoxville, TN.

Her father passed away at the age of 54 on March 24, 1995, in Portland, OR.
