1965-2014

Our beloved Shawn was freed from his struggles with diabetes and passed on to peace on July 4, 2014 with his family at his side in Wenatchee.

He was an "honorary" member of the Class of 1984 at Richland High School.

Shawn leaves behind his parents, Mike and Hope Petree; sisters, Shannon Carlson Tait (Mike Tait) and Jennifer Petree Smith (Phillip Smith). He also leaves behind his nieces, Delaney Davis, Hannah Davis and Alyssa McGrath; and many great friends.

A celebration of his life was held on Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Monroe Senior Center.

A Sportsman's Prayer

"God grant that I may live to fish until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast, then I most humbly pray.
When in the Lord's safe landing net, I am peacefully asleep.
That in His mercy, I be judged big enough to keep."
