Glenn A. Ausmus was born on September 18, 1965 to Fred and Patricia Ausmus. He passed away from congestive heart failure on May 13, 2023.

His brother is Mike Ausmus ('81).

As the son to a Navy family he moved around a lot as a child until ending up in Richland in the mid 1970's, coming from Oak Harbor, WA which was his most favorite place to live.

After graduating from Richland High School with the Class of 1984, Glenn moved to Phoenix, AZ to attend Phoenix Institute of Technology.

Glenn then returned to Richland to enlist in the Navy in the spring of 1985 as a "heavy equipment operator/mechanic." During the years from 1985-1989 Glenn stayed in the Navy Reserve as a CM3 in the fleet regiment. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal on August 28, 1990 due to Meritorious Action.

Between 1987 and the early 2000's, he lived in Florida, worked as a car mechanic and had two children. Leeann was born in 1987. She is married, lives in Spanaway, WA and has two children, Xavier and Zoe. Eric was born in 1992, from Glenn's second marriage. Eric currently lives in Florida.

From 2007 until 2022 he moved around to several different states as a self-employed construction worker.

In 2022, Glenn and Annie (his significant other) moved to a small town in Texas as they were planning on traveling the country during their retirement years.

He was preceded in death by his parents. His mother passed away at the age of 60 on March 3, 1999. His father passed away at the age of 65 on January 18, 2002.
